| This quick & easy scarf pattern belongs to Violet Green; please don't copy/cut & paste/otherwise reproduce this pattern, but do feel free to link to it if you'd like to. Requires 200g of thick wool and a pair of 12mm knitting needles.
 To make the scarf:Using 12mm needles, cast on 11 stitches.
The pattern:
- Knit 3, purl 1, knit 3, purl 1, knit 3.
- Purl 3, knit 1, purl 3, knit 1, purl 3.
Repeat these two pattern rows until the scarf is as long as you want it to be, ending with a row 2.
Bind off in pattern, as follows:
- Slip 1 stitch, knit next stitch, then pass the slipped stitch back over the knitted stitch;
- Knit next stitch, then pass the first stitch from the right hand needle back over the stitch you just knit;
- Purl next stitch, then pass the first stitch from the right hand needle back over the stitch you just purled;
Continue in this manner until all the stitches are bound off.
Sew in loose end.
